Wow! Best onions rings ever. Big Tex was 1 lbs of meat and stacked high. Great tasting. I suggest the Hart Burger. 1/2 lb of meat with alot of trimmings. Country fried steak with the green beans were out of this world. Daughter got Manhattan roast beef with Mac and cheese. Large portions and we left none. Highly recommended.

You will wait for your food, however, it’s 100% worth the wait! This is a hidden gem that needs to be on everyone’s bucket list. We plan on driving the 5 hours, one way, again JUST for the food.

While we were in the area of Mammoth Caves this past weekend with friends, we decided to do what we always do and support a local, family owned business! I normally don’t post and rave about food but I will say hands down 5 Broke Girls in Horse Cave Kentucky did not disappoint. If you are in the area or traveling through to Nashville do yourself a favor and stop and eat! The place doesn’t look fancy on the outside and truth be told if I was just driving by I probably would not have stopped. As the saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover! The food was made to order and was phenomenal, the service was outstanding and we interacted with several of the staff members. I had chicken fried steak, with mashed potato’s and hands down the BEST onion rings I have ever had in my life and topped off with death by chocolate cake and it did not disappoint either! The food was so good we had dinner there Saturday and lunch on Sunday! I will definitely be going back!

Yes, you will wait for your food. It is well worth the wait. There were four of us, and we ate there twice in less than 24 hours. Not one of us could come up with any complaints, other than I missed breakfast on Saturday morning. We are already planning on driving the 5 hours back down just to eat.
